Description

How it Works: Niraparib works by inhibiting the activity of PARP enzymes, which are involved in repairing damaged DNA in cells. By blocking PARP, niraparib prevents cancer cells from repairing damaged DNA, ultimately leading to their death. This helps in slowing down or stopping the growth of cancer cells. Side Effects: Nausea Fatigue Anemia (low red blood cell count) Thrombocytopenia (low platelet count) Neutropenia (low white blood cell count) Indications: ZEJULA is indicated for: Maintenance treatment of adult patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer who are in a complete or partial response to platinum-based chemotherapy.
