How Juluca Works
Juluca is a medication used in the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults who have achieved viral suppression. It contains two active ingredients: dolutegravir and rilpivirine. Dolutegravir belongs to a class of drugs called integrase inhibitors, which work by blocking the action of an enzyme called integrase, preventing the integration of HIV DNA into the DNA of human immune cells. Rilpivirine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) that inhibits the reverse transcriptase enzyme, thereby preventing the conversion of HIV RNA into DNA. By inhibiting these enzymes, Juluca helps to reduce the amount of HIV in the body and maintain viral suppression.Side Effects of Juluca
