How It Works:

Abacavir Sulphate is an antiretroviral medication used in the treatment of HIV infection. It belongs to a class of drugs known as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). Abacavir works by inhibiting the activity of reverse transcriptase, an enzyme necessary for the replication of the HIV virus. By blocking this enzyme, abacavir prevents the virus from multiplying, thereby reducing the viral load in the body and slowing down the progression of HIV disease.
